MISSION & OBJECTIVE

Independent Features is a pioneer in the independent filmmaking community. We have combined the technology of streaming video with the tradition of an independent film festival. The Independent Features Film Festival is the world's first film festival in which films will be chosen by a global audience via a web-based competition. The competition will run May 1st, 2008 through June 30th, 2008. The top twenty-one films will go on to be screened at the Independent Features Film Festival which will be hosted July 25-27, 2008 at the acclaimed Tribeca Cinemas in Lower Manhattan. The grand prize includes screenings in select cities across the United States. Here are some quotes about the Independent Features Film Festival

-“The Independent Features Festival offers an online global stage for independent filmmakers, making it easier for non-studio productions to reach moviegoers who are looking to discover new voices and unique visions not typically associated with mainstream fare.” -Adrien Brody (Oscar award winning Actor)
-"The Independent Features Film Festival is a dream come true for indie filmakers. A chance to have your worked judged not only by peers but by the general movie-going public. The only criteria being 'did they like it". It levels the playing field and truly puts the power back in the audience's opinion. Which is exactly the opportunity most indie filmakers are looking for" -Dan Consiglio (Director Alleyball)
